Had a great breakfast (best motel breakfast we had the whole trip) and met up with Brodie and Ed for the trip to Enterprise. Brodie's FJR looked "kinda funny" as he pulled into the parking lot. He hit an elk just North of Cresent City after they got started yesterday. Here is Brodie's story. We got on the road about 9am heading for Mt Vernon where Ed was going to head further East and Brodie, Catherine and I would head to Enterpise. We stopped in Mitchell (be sure to go through "down town") and had a nice lunch. As we were leaving, we had to wait for a couple of deer to cross the street. Gassed up in Mt Vernon and parted company with Ed.
We headed up 395 to Ukiah where we took 244 into La Grande. Great road and sights - a combo of high desert and plateaus and twisties. Stopped for gas in La Grande and then into Enteprise. The Best Western is about a mile from downtown (mistake picking it). Next time we go to that part of Oregon and need a different place to stay, Joseph here we come!
