We met Brodie for breakfast and decide to split company as he wanted to get into Moscow the get his bike repaired. So Catherine and I went South to see Joseph, Wallowa Lake and ventured down toward Hells Canyon before turning back North to Moscow. We went as far South as the first Hells Canyon Overlook in Oregon - nice road and great sights. Stopped in Joseph for lunch at the "bakery cafe" (very good). We didn't check out any of the motels in Joseph but the next trip, we will stay there and not in Enterprise.
Left Joseph heading to Moscow on Highway 3. The Northern section of Highway 3 and the Southern porting of Washington 129 (Boggans Oasis at the bottom of the canyon) was a steep, twisty and narrow canyons ride. Other than rocks in the road, a great ride. It reminded us of the road from the top of Beartooth Pass MT into Red Lodge, MT. It is not as high or the canyons as wide but was a reminder.
We got into Moscow about 4pm finding our room was not ready but the beer was cold and there are a "lot of FJR's there!!" We got registered for WFO-8 (Western FJR Owners) Rally, had dinner and talked with a "bunch" of other FJR owners.
